I have a substantial bump on the top of my big toe

I have a substantial bump on the top of my big toe on my left foot. It make hiking, crosscountry skiing , dancing, and sometimes just walking painful.
What do you recommend?

Gary:
You need to remove the pressure on your foot/toe, or else face the prospect of surgery.

You can get corn pads for the bump from the pharmacy and these might help.

Get rid of shoes that irritate and go barefoot as often as you can. Select shoes that do not put pressure on the affected areas.

Please read this article.
