Is there a common link between acidity, cancer, yeast, fungus and viruses?

"My skin doctor reckons the fungus/skin cancers idea is rubbish?  Those things on your skin maybe a fungus?"

Gary:
Hmmm..  If that's the case, then I should change my own skin specialist who has been burning precancerous solar kerastoses off my hands, ears and forehead over the last decade!

But, maybe there is a link between cancer and fungus, just as there is known link between cancer and viruses, like the warts virus.  Some doctors are convinced that cancers are caused by viruses and there are some who believe that cancers are a reaction to fungal infections, like candida.  I think there is something in this.  Let me explain...

We know that alkaline metals, like zinc and selenium help prevent cancers of the skin and prostate; but exactly how?

Here's some interesting facts:

  • Cancers thrive in acidic environments.
  • Fungi and viruses also thrive in acidic environments.
  • A healthy person has a body PH of about 7.2 (slightly alkaline).
  • As we age, suffer stress, illness and injury, our ability to maintain an alkaline PH declines and we tend towards being acidic.
  • Toxins like arsenic, mercury, aluminium and lead interfere with the alkali elements like magnesium, zinc and selenium.  Most people have these in their bodies nowadays from environmental pollution and sometime medicines.
  • Skin cancer and prostate cancer are very common in people who have been exposed to arsenic and lead and other toxins - people such as builders, farmers and mechanics - and people who use firearms.
  • High lead levels in an engineer who happens to have
    a problem with solar kerastoses.
  • When I do a Hair Tissue Analysis on a person with ailments like warts, acne, psoriasis, candida, athlete's foot, sinusitis and cancers such as prostate, there is often present toxic metals and a profile indicating a problem with zinc in particular and often the presence of toxins like lead.

Similar profiles: Different diseases!

  • When we correct the alkali element imbalances/deficiencies and get rid of the toxic elements, the disease gradually clears over several months.

Fascinating stuff eh?

Now here's the interesting question when it comes to cancer.  If cancer is the body's response to fungus and viral infections that have overwhelmed the body, as some experts claim, then can we prevent and even cure cancer by increasing the body's PH to be in the alkaline range of about PH 7.4?

Below are several videos about the link between cancer and fungal infections.  They are two sets of a series of videos.  While there is some doubling up, please take time to watch them all.  I would welcome your comments which you can post at the bottom of this article.  The oncologist, Dr Simoncini, who appears in the videos is - needless to say - highly controversial within his peer circle.  But that is hardly a surprise.  Many of the inquisitive outliers of history who drove Human progress were persecuted by their peers only to later being proven to be right.  Without such outliers, medicine would still be blood-letting.

As a matter of interest; I started applying Simoncini's ideas to my own skin which has been increasingly plagued by solar keratoses, mostly on my hands, arms, forehead and ears.  These were requiring visits to the skin specialist every two years to have the worst of them removed.  Well, four years have now passed, I have not been back to the specialist and most of the skin lesions are gone.

And here is an interesting website on the subject: http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/  I am of an open mind on this matter for now.  Let's see what eventuates and I would appreciate your opinions and feedback.

My son seems to have a continual cold which leads to asthma

Earlier in the year I had a hair sample done and taken your recommendations on treatment.

My son seems to have a continual cold which leads to asthma.

I am keen for you to do your magic on him too.  I wanted to check before I purchased a hair sample kit if that was appropriate for him.  He is 6 years old.

Can you please advise.

HTMA of Child's Mother
The HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) of a child usually is a near-copy of the Mother's, except the child's often is more extreme of her patterns.

So, when we look at the Mother's HTMA to the left, we can see patterns that indicate a tendency to suffer viral infections and asthma.

These are low magnesium to calcium and an overall deficiency in magnesium.  When molybdenum is low and zinc is high we can assume that there is a deficiency in zinc and, therefore, vulnerability to viral infections (high zinc, especially in the presence of low molybdenum means loss of zinc from the tissues and it being deposited in the hair).

If you take out the peaks of calcium, copper zinc, chromium and cobalt we have the appearance of a person who is running on empty.  We can assume her son will be lower overall as well as having more extremes such as higher calcium and lower magnesium.

Due to their faster metabolism children are more sensitive to imbalances, including excesses and deficiencies.

Yes, I recommend that the wee boy does have a HTMA completed.  But, in the absence of a HTMA I would recommend that he follows the dietary and supplementary programme that has been recommended for Mother.  Any supplements are adjusted appropriately for size and also to take account that most children have difficulty swallowing pills.

What's the standard re-training protocol for getting back into training after a virus?

"I never get sick - it's been 15yrs since i was last sick for longer than a few hrs.
However, i am now 18 days sick - i seem to be at the tail end of it now. Some sort of viral lung infection. Have done no training - well, once in that time.

What's the standard re-training protocol for getting back into training? I'm guessing at least 10 days of easy aerobic work, and ensuring the system stays or gets back into acid/base neutral zone.

Is there warning signs to back off or stop or don't yet start training? "

There are a couple of indicators that you can use to guide your return to running:

Blood pressure and pulse

Get yourself a good quality blood pressure and pulse monitor.  Here are my recommendations
:http://blog.garymoller.com/2012/06/which-personal-digital-blood-pressure.html.  Healthy blood pressure should be about 120/80.  It is typical to have very low blood pressure following a debilitating illness.  As long as it remains low, such as 110/60, you may need to moderate the intensity and duration of exercise.

Use a "Running Recovery Indicator"

Here's a fabulous service for runners.  http://www.running-wizard.com/ They have a really handy recovery indicator (Look under the "My Training" tab) which uses the data you gather with your heart rate monitor.  While it is a subscription service, it is worth every cent and they will have you runnign the best of your career.

Use the "neck Check"

If you have a viral infection that extends below the neck, then you really do need to take it very easy until fully recovered because excessive exercise may result in damage to the heart and lungs.  If the infection is confined to the head, then you can be more relaxed about whether to exercise or not.

Go by how well you feel

I know - this is really obvious!  But you would not believe how often an athlete will ignore all the signals that he/she needs to rest, or take it easy and try to "run it out".  This will only delay recovery and may be harmful to the point of being fatal.  Listen to your body regardless of what any tests are telling you.  If you start a run and you just don't feel right within about 5-10 minutes, then cut the run short, go have a long bath and a good feed, then try again the next day.

Get tested

Athletes all end up running on empty - at least that's what the testing tells me.  Zinc always gets depleted, even with supplementation, it seems.  This is because zinc is required in huge amounts by athletes for tissue repair.  Refer here: http://blog.garymoller.com/2012/01/running-on-empty-why-athletes.html.  Low zinc lays the athlete wide open to viral infections along with poor recovery.

How best to protect you and your family from the worst of Swine Influenza

Swine Flu has arrived in New Zealand and, like me, you are probably wondering how to protect your family as the virus sweeps its way through the population.

We are about to experience one of the frightful consequences of factory farming.

With the onset of winter, we are fast entering the cold and flu season. Perfect timing for Swine Flu it would appear!

Now, you will be hearing lots good advice from the health authorities from now on about how to reduce your risk of contracting the virus - measures like washing your hands, staying at home and so on; but they are probably not going to tell you some of the most important. So, what else can you do to reduce your risk of, first, contracting the virus and then minimising its impact:

Ensure your immune system is strong and responsive - RIGHT NOW!
Yes, your immune defences need to be strong and on high alert right now. Most of us have a weakened immune system, thanks to our hectic lifestyles and nutrient poor diets. So, what can you do for your family right now to bolster their immune defences?
  • Take a Vitamin D supplement (Refer to this article to work out the correct daily dosage for each family member). Cheap vitamin D is available off this website.
  • Treat your family to a mid winter tropical holiday (Winter is flu season principally because this is when population vitamin D levels plummet and so does one's immune system).
  • Increase your family's daily intake of antioxidant and vitamin C rich fruit, berries and vegetables. Bolster this with daily drinks of super plant extracts such as Nutra-Life Load Up Berry Brights and Fruitful Greens. You could add a vitamin C supplement as well for the time-being. Fruitful Greens nourish the gut and reduce inflammation.
  • Take garlic, olive leaf and lysine supplements. These have antiviral properties.
  • Have a little protein in each meal (You could take some whey protein small amounts over the day). Whey is known to support the gut health and the immune system.
  • What is the Active Elements tissue salts mineral status of your family? Complete the online assessment on this site and act on the advice. Have Active 7.1 available in yoru medicine cabinet and take at the first signs of a sniffle.
  • Reduce stress in your life - Now! Slow things down, work fewer hours, reduce debts, have a laugh each day. Have a holiday. Shut stressful people out of your life.
  • If you have been chronically stressed you may have burned your adrenals which are at the heart of immune health (This includes children). Check my articles about adrenal fatigue and start the adrenal restoration programme now - even if you consider yourself a mild case.
  • Get restful sleep each night. Deep sleep is at the heart of immune health, so ensure you have a good night's kip. If not, have a look at the supplements on this site that safely aid deep sleep, or contact me for assistance.
These measures, along with the usual ones (hand washing etc) will reduce any risk of catching all flus and colds. More important: These measures will ensure your family's immune systems will react swiftly and strongly to any viral invaders, ensuring that they get over the infection quickly and with the least discomfort and fewer, if any complications.

What can you do to reduce your risk of catching influenza or a cold this winter

There was a television interview a few days ago of a doctor advising viewers that it was time to get their annual flu jab. This is the jab that contains various substances, including aluminium which is a highly neurotoxic metal that is implicated in diseases such as dementia and Alzheimers. When asked if there was anything that one can do for the lesser rhino virus (colds), he replied, "Absolutely nothing at all!" I take issue with that. There is much that one can do to increase one's resistance to virus infections:

  • Get plenty of sleep and do not burn the midnight oil during the flu and cold season - reduce stress. Take a winter holiday
  • Eat plenty of fruit
  • Ensure your diet is rich in the fat soluble vitamins - New Zealand butter, full fat milk, cod liver oil, wheatgerm oil (vitamin E), fish head soup, liver including pate. Take a vitamin D supplement.
  • A further step is to have a regular intake of garlic, vitamin C and echinacea
  • Have regular beef and chicken broth soups
  • Complete the Active Elements assessment to ensure your body has the tissue salts needed to ward off infection
  • Wash you hands frequently and keep clear of people who are dribbling and coughing
  • Avoid confined, crowded, poorly ventilated rooms, such as class rooms
  • If you do feel a viral infection of any kind coming on, have a supply of Active Elements 7.1 on hand and commence taking immediately as prescribed and for as long as symptoms persist.
While there is ongoing debate about the effectiveness of many of these preventative measures, I am convinced enough to recommend any of these to my readers. None are poisonous.

If you purchase Active 7.1 to keep in your medicine cabinet, I have reproduced the prescribing information below.
