This delightful short video of the life of children living in the UK in the 1950's reminds me of my own childhood: A childhood that was full of outdoors fun and adventure.
There was no parental supervision, no fear of strangers, no such thing as "health and safety". We came through mostly unscathed and, I am convinced, so much the better for this freedom.
