Are you looking for a good source of potassium iodide?

In the aftermath of Japan's nuclear catastrophe and the fear that winds could blow radiation around the Planet, there has been a rush on potassium iodide, which helps protect your glandular system from radiation poisoning if you're exposed.  If you are looking for a quality source of potassium iodide for your family, I have some and it is very good value.  Please go here for details.

While people living in New Zealand are at very low risk of radiation exposure, iodine deficiency is widespread despite table salt being iodised.  More and more people no longer add iodised salt to their food.

Potassium iodide supplementation protects the body, especially thyroid gland, from radiation damage.  It does this by filling all the biochemical "voids" for iodine within the body, leaving nowhere for any radioactive fallout to bind, so it is more likely to pass through the body with less damage.

Lack of iodine is associated with thyroid disorders, breast and stomach cancer, mental retardation, depression and weight gain.  Iodine can also be applied to wounds to help healing.  So its a handy dietary supplement to have on hand regardless of radiation fears.

Dosages of Clincian's Iodine Drops range from 2-10 drops daily; but may be as much as 50 drops per day in some cases.  Being almost tasteless, several drops can be added to the family food and drink and not be noticed, other than a possibly darkening of the food.
