Skin Keratosis treatment

I saw your keratosis treatment videos on the web and was impressed. I have 2 quick questions for you.

1. Did your regime of flax oil also get rid of the plain old normal age spots on your hands and face?
2. What makes the NZ flax oil so much better than the flax oils that I can find in a health food store?
3. What time frame did it take to clear up your keratosis?

Gary responds:
Andrew, the skin cancers on my ears, hands and face have now all dropped off. I have yet to do an updated video which will show it.  I was going to the skin specialist about every 2nd year to have them burned off and they were getting worse each year which was a huge worry.

Since producing the first video, I have done several other measures which are all contributing to a dramatic improvement in my skin health.

I have been taking daily Agewise Conezyme Q-10 and a powerfull antioxidant called Lifestream Astazan along with the flax oil.

In addition, I have switched from a low fat diet to one that includes fresh natural fats including raw milk which comes direct from an organically reared cow which we have shares in.  This has been an important change in diet.

I have also been taking Active Elements Tissue salts and increased my intake of pyridoxine by way of a natural vitamin B supplement (Nutra-Life Ener B).  Pyridoxine is used as a topical treatment for skin kerastosis.  Treating from the inside to the outside is my choice.

While I used to dab the flax seed onto the affected parts, I no longer do this since there are no areas needing treatment, other than one very small patch on my right hand.

Low fat diet = Bad skin

About Waihi Bush Flax Oil
The NZ flax oil is grown and processed in South Canterbury of the South Island.  It is organic and fresh, delviered direct to my office.  The oil is specially sealed in black plastic bottles and all air is displaced by nitrogen.  The actual life of the oil is at least a year longer than the expiry date so long as the bottle remains sealed and in a cool place.

Flax oil is a lovely oil that does not need to be taken in capsules.  The best value is the 500ml bottles which gnerally can be found for about $30 (less from me).

NB: Still consult a skin cancer specialist if you have suspiscious bits and pieces of skin.  If they turn out to be at the low end of risk, then try this regime for about a year and see what happens.  You can still do this regime even if other treament is necessary.

If in doubt - Cut it out!

Why don't you stock flax oil capsules?

Shelley
I am pleased that you have received your goods without a problem.

With regards to Flax capsules, while I can stock them I have decided not to. Why not? Capsules hold very little oil, fresh flax oil is delicious and you benefit best from taking quite a lot and best with your regular meals. So, that means taking heaps of capsules daily and that is expensive as compared to taking the flax oil by the spoon. Why pay for the capsulation when the oil is so nice to the palate? Just compare the amount of flax oil you can get in capsules for the same price as half liter in a bottle - incomparable value for money! I have decided, as a general policy, not to stock capsules and pills, if I think it is unnecessary for my clients so as to save their money.

The flax oil that I stock comes from Waihi Bush in Geraldine of South Canterbury, New Zealand. It is organically grown on their farm and surrounding farmlands and the seed is processed and bottled on the premises and delivered direct to me for sale to you. It can't be mush better than that! I had a little Waihi Bush flax oil this morning: I spread it on my toast which I then topped with peanut butter. Yummy! You can drizzle it on salads, pasta, on your baked potatoe and your cabbage and brocolli. You can dip bread into a bowl of flax oil Mediterranean style. Just do not cook with it because it is a delicate oil.

As a matter of interest, I have just finished taste testing a new fish oil product and have decided to stock them as of today: Fresh Catch Ocean Nutrition Fish Oil and Fresh Catch Cod Liver Oil. These oils come in 236ml bottles and are far better value than their encapsulated equivalents. Each is flavoured by extracts like orange and rosemary to ingeniously conceal the fishy taste and smell. They are surprisingly delicious - even my eight year old son downed a teaspoon of each!

Which is better - flax or fish?

(This is an article from my principal supplier of flax seed oil: Waihi Bush of Geraldine in the South Island)

We are often asked this question by consumers as fish oil companies confuse the issue by directly comparing flax and fish oils.

Their argument is that fish oils directly deliver the long chain Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, whereas the Omega-3s in flax seed oil need to undergo conversion in the body to the long-chain Omega-3s

However, a number of points are being missed with this argument...

It assumes that the Omega-3 essential fatty acid in flax seed oil, alpha linoleic acid (ALA), does not have functions of its own in the body. We know, however, that as well as being converted to the longer chain Omega-3s ALA is also important for energy production and as a structural element in healthy cell membranes.

Waihi Bush organic farm have developed two unique oil blends that address the issue that conversion to long-chain Omega-3s may be inefficient in some individuals. Our unique flax boost and flax magic blends contain blackcurrant seed oil, which contains the secondary Omega-3 stearidonic acid. This by-passes the first step in the conversion process.

Flax seed oil contains Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids too - making it a more balanced source of essential fatty acids than fish oil. Our unique flax boost and flax magic blends also contain the secondary Omega-6 gamma linolenic acid, providing a very broad fatty acid profile.

Both blackcurrant seed oil and fish contain secondary Omega-3's, which means the body does not need to make the conversion from primary to secondary Omega-3. Blackcurrant seed oil also has secondary Omega-6 as does borage seed oil. These ingredients are found in our flax boost and flax magic products.

Our flax is grown organically, is free of pesticides and other toxins so no concerns about contamination with dioxins, PCBs or heavy metals

  • Flax is a sustainably farmed and depletes no resources

  • Flax seed oil is a vegetarian source of Omega-3

  • Flax seed oil is less fragile than fish oils, which oxidize extremely readily.

  • Furthermore, we handle our products with special care to protect their integrity

The flax seed used to create our products is grown here in New Zealand and all manufacturing is done in New Zealand too

Waihi Bush Flaxseed Oil - good news and bad news

I arrived back in the country after a few days away to discover dozens of orders for Waihi Bush Flaxseed Oil flooding in to the www.myotec.co.nz store.

There had apparently been a television programme on Saturday that featured the Waihi Bush organic farm and extolled the health benefits of this rich Omega3 oil for conditions like eczema, psoriasis and arthritis. Of course, people got into the Google search machine and my website store was the one that popped up.

So the bad news is I have been cleaned out of stock, supplying the oil for kids with eczema and arthritic pets. The good news is that I have fresh supplies arriving from the farm tomorrow morning. The best news is that this latest stock is the freshest ever.
